We are trying to start rowing Mondays and Thursdays at 5:30 pm. We have a coach (Kristin) and a cox (Michelle) lined up -- now all we need is rowers! Please sign up for days on the calendar below, and we'll start rowing when we can fill a four!

Contact Info
Dear Rowers: Please use this shared calendar to sign up for rowing days and post other relevant info.
- To see the entire roster for any day, hover your cursor over it for a few moments. If you intend to add to or edit the roster, first log on to the wiki if you haven't already done so. The login/logout link is at the upper right corner of this page; it will ask for an email address and password. (Forgot the password? email me, Amy, or Judy.) If you don't want to get email from this website, just don't click the link requesting notification of updates to the wiki. This is the only mail this website/wiki will send you.
- To add your name to the roster, first click on the day to bring up the editable version of the day's events. Type your name (and whatever else you want to add) into the small text box at the top, click "Add" (next to the text box) and then "Close" (lower right corner).logged on to the wiki to add or edit text

- To change or delete text already added, click on the day to bring up the editable version, hover directly over the line you want to edit to make the "Edit" and "Trash Can" icons materialize, then click on the icon you want to use. Edit using the text box at the top or delete using . . . the Trash Can
- TROUBLESHOOTING (mini-version):
- You must be logged in to work with the calendar, so check that first if editing isn't working for you. Every once in a while my computer will dump me off (if I've deleted cookies by running a cleanup program, for instance), though it usually keeps me continuously logged on.
- If you see an ad for "30 Boxes" instead of the calendar, or get an error page after entering a change, try hitting Refresh or Reload. (--LC)

Ladies, Here is a training "program" week one. This is at the beginning of winter (october) training for the CRASH B's at the end of February. It's a little daunting, but it gives you some workouts you can do. You can do these same Pieces on the water.... if you have a cadence meter to figure out stroke rating.

YOu can also go to the Concept2 website and read about training and "Getting Started". See link below:

Sign up for the personal log and keep track of your progress and compare yourself against others in your age group.

I actually was able to click right on the link no problem. Sometimes your browser may not like the wiki; I know sometimes people have trouble if they are using Safari, for example.
The schematic was very helpful!

An AWESOME example of rowing!!!!
Ladies, Here is a link to THE BOAT RACE 2007 - which is an annual event between Cambridge and Oxford Universities in England. It is sometimes a little "tricky" to get to play, but well worth it. Take the opportunity to watch their form closely and then think about how it "feels" and making your stroke look more like their's.
Hope you can get it to play! It takes a couple minutes to set up and there's some "ads" to start out with - but THEN GREAT ROWING!

Hey Teamies -- did anyone else notice this article in today's New York Times (Thursday, May 22)?:

(Sorry, I think it requires a login, but it's too long to just post. You can bypass compulsory logins by getting a shared password from www.bugmenot.com)
Oddly, it's in the Fashion and Style section (I guess we're getting fashionable and stylish). --Lynn
